The Management of Temporary Works in the Steelwork Industry that is specific to the constructional steelwork industry has been developed with the assistance of Temporary Works Practitioners.
The course assumes that steelwork contractors are going to be “managing sub-contractors” (i.e. have their own TWC). This course is not for the Temporary Works Supervisor Role.
The management of temporary works in the steelwork industry is a one-day course providing an overview of BS 5975: 2019: Syllabus
Target audience: TWCs; Temporary Works Designers and Design Checkers; Project Managers and Project Engineers; Designated individuals. Note: This course is not targeted at TWSs (but may be useful).
It is assumed that delegates have a firm knowledge of health and safety legislation, especially an understanding of the Duty Holders described in the CDM regulations.
The Pre-requisite to the training is that applicants are:
- Encouraged to complete the Temporary Works Forum https://www.twforum.org.uk/elearning1 General Awareness Training (FOC).
