Jonathan Clemens appointed as the new CEO of the BCSA

The BCSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Clemens as the new CEO of the BCSA, who starts his new role today.

Jonathan’s background includes numerous years at Tata Steel Europe as Head of Marketing, Construction & Infrastructure.

Including spells at Kalzip and Catnic (a Tata Steel subsidiary), Jonathan’s CV also includes the Vice-Chair of Construct Steel who represent the World Steel Organisation, and representation of Tata Steel on the Director’s Board of the Fabsec Joint Venture from 2015 to 2023.

"I am excited and honoured to be joining the BCSA which has been representing the UK structural steel sector for over a century. Through promoting and supporting the industry, and consistently raising standards, means we have a constructional steel industry that is a world leader. It will be great to work with such a professional and engaged team, Association members and continue to build on such fantastic heritage and success. He looks forward to meeting Members over the next few months and building relationships with you all", commented Jonathan Clemens.

Jonathan will be supported by current CEO Dr David Moore who will become a part-time deputy CEO. David said:”After five years as BCSA’s CEO, I will be stepping down but I’m not leaving BCSA, instead I will be taking up the position of Deputy CEO and working 2 days a week to support Jonathan and provide help and support to BCSA’s members and the wider constructional steelwork industry".
